What am I doing with my life?

Seriously?

I’m supposed to make things look “pretty”. Who gives a damn if a stupid business card or brochure has the correct kerning and amount of leading? Average people sure as hell don’t. Oh I must have learned some useful skills from my 2.5 years of this so far… right? You mean like identifying typefaces? Yeah I can do that.

Hooray. 

I know basic type anatomy.

yaaaaaaaaaay.

I know the ideal amount of characters that should be in a single line of text on a single column page layout. 

Gold fucking star for me.

God this is like the most pointless major in the world. 

Out of all the majors at this University, this is what I pick. 

Cool.

Thank you art school. Thanks for sucking the fun, whimsy, and life out of art for me. Thanks for being a complete waste of money and time. Thanks for stressing me out to no end and thanks for destroying my motivation and desire to make art.

this looks like a normal magazine spread right

well

if you look really closely on one of the melons i put a really tiny pterodactyl right in the middle

no one noticed

and they actually published it

now there are 2000 copies of this magazine featuring this tiny pterodactyl and i’m the one at fault

oh my god am i a horrible person or what
